who we are
Philanthropy DMV, formerly Washington Regional Area Grantmakers since 1992, is a philanthropic membership network of corporate grantmakers, corporate giving programs, family and public foundations, government grantmakers, and community leaders — changemakers dedicated to fostering a safer and stronger DC, Maryland, and Virginia.
what we do
Philanthropy DMV convenes, advocates and mobilizes the region around philanthropy and educates in philanthropic practice areas. Across several learning platforms, our members engage in knowledge-sharing, networking, and collaborative action that help them meet their grantmaking objectives.
collectively leveraging wisdom and driving change
We are a community of regional grantmakers working collectively to optimize philanthropic giving and corporate citizenship strategies, including DEI, ESG, SDG.
We support our members to drive prosperity, wellbeing, and racial equity and justice in the Greater Washington Region.
our region, our giving annual forum & awards
On behalf of the Philanthropy DMV Board and Staff, you are cordially invited to join us on Wednesday October 30th for our 2024 Our Region, Our Giving Annual Forum & Awards. This year’s theme is “Philanthropy: Meeting the Moment, Catalyzing Systems Change.”
We will convene at the beautiful Rubell Museum to have riveting panels and conversations about innovative approaches to philanthropy, strategies for driving systemic change, and the latest trends shaping our sector. Engage with thought leaders, connect with peers, and be inspired by Philanthropy DMV member success stories that demonstrate the impact of philanthropy on our region. We look forward to your participation in this vital dialogue and to working together to create a more equitable and just society.
